We are quite lucky where we live there is a beautiful woodland walk close by and plenty of countryside to explore a short drive away and nothing makes me happier or calmer than taking a stroll outdoors.
At this time of year the woodland is bursting with bluebells and cow parsley, the smell of wild garlic and sounds of the trickling stream is just beautiful.
When I wake up in the morning the first thing I notice are the birds singing and chirping away at my window, this is natures way of telling us the day has started and the sun is up. Whether I’m stressed or feeling overwhelmed by the day I always want to get out in nature for a walk.
When H&M launched their wild flower collection it was stunning, I could see myself in every piece. My favourite had to be this gorgeous wild flower sun dress, perfect for days in the garden or a picnic in the countryside. It’s made from a cool cotton fabric with a smocked bodice that makes it so comfortable and easy to pull on during a hot day and catch a bit of sun on your shoulders. I also think it looks cute with a skinny belt just to synch it in at the waist and some tan sandles or slides.
A beautiful basket bag would also look great, and to finish it off, a spritz of a light Summer perfume, I’m wearing one of my favourite Jo malone fragrances Blue Agalva And Cacao.
So, switch off your phones, step away from the Netflix and take a walk amongst nature, listen to the sounds take in the scents and feel yourself be calm and relaxed.
