Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always looked after my nails, my mum bought me a manicure set when I was young as my nails have always been quite strong and grown quickly.
In this weeks blog I’m going to tell you a bit about how I like to use gel polishes and mention one of my favourite brands, Semilac. I’ve gone through spells of having my nails done professionally at salons, but as always true to form chip them a few days later at work which is really annoying when it can cost around £20-30 a month.
I tend to prefer a gel polish as they always look shiny and fresh and always stick to soft muted shades in Spring and Summer, Pinks, Nudes Whites etc. To do your own gel nails at home it’s just a matter of painting the different coats and setting each layer under a UV lamp which mum actually picked up for me in a charity shop for £5! (bargain).

The transition from the deep shades of Winter to Spring saw me wearing Stylish Gray on my nails for quite a few weeks, it was a good neutral colour to go with all of my outfits. Now we have had a glimpse of sunshine I’m wearing Creamy Muffin, a super cute soft Blush Pink shade as you can probably tell from my Instagram I’m Pink crazy right now!
