After a tough year I honestly couldn’t wait to get 2016 out-of-the-way and start a brand new year, this Christmas my family and friends have utterly spoiled me and I received lots of amazing presents to start the New year with. In the last few months of the year I try to use up all my perfumes and creams in the hope a few cheeky hints will get me some new ones. Whilst visiting London recently I discovered the new Chanel perfume No 5 L’Eau, for years Chanel No 5 has been my signature scent and when the sales lady told me that it was the latest and freshest interpretation of the classic No 5 I was intrigued once I tested it I quickly put it on my Christmas wish list.
As my interest in beauty products grows and especially having two grown up daughters im always being introduced to new cosmetic products. I’ve been slowly growing my Mac collection throughout the year and received some of the best-selling Mac lipliners (whirl and subculture) and a lipstick (faux) as well as a few NYX ones to try out.
My daughters also treated me to the beautiful YSL Rouge Volupte Shine lipstick in shade 9 and the limited edition YSL Touche Eclait in shade 1 with its sparkly encrusted wand.
My friends know me all too well and alcohol and chocolate is always welcomed, this cute miniature Gordon’s gin and Thornton’s chocolate santa mmm I cant wait to indulge on when im snuggled up at the weekend.
The great thing about Christmas time is that you can get some fantastic deals on your usual skin care products as manufacturers always put together gift sets and you can get more for your money whilst sometimes trying out their new range. I actually treated myself to this Elemis gift box as it contained the Nourishing Omega-Rich cleansing oil i now use morning and evening.
I cant wait to try this sweet little red Clarins gift set, it contained two Joli Rouge lipsticks in Soft berry and Rasberry and also two of the Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors shade 01 and shade 06 all packaged up in a gorgeous Clarins red make up bag.
Theres nothing I love more than a relaxing bath after a long day at work so when my daughters bought me a bedtime bliss box of goodies I was so grateful. These products are all lavender based and are 100% natural, aimed at getting a good nights sleep there is a huge tub of deep sleep bath salts, some therapy body oil and two lavender-scented pillow sprays to use at night-time.
Lastly this Christmas my amazing boyfriend bought me the Burberry scarf I’ve had my eye on for a long time and a stunning Tiffany necklace to match the classic heart bracelet I already have.
I was truly blessed to get some lovely gifts from my wonderful family and friends and look forward to the New year ahead.
